We’re launching the KCD Fund!
The KCD Fund is taking off! Did you know that the KCD Fund (formerly the
Annual Enrichment Fund) raised more than $310,000 last year? Many of our
parents contributed last year, and we are calling on each of you to renew
or make a first-time gift to the KCD Fund today.
To make your gift, please complete the gift envelope you recently received in the mail and return it to the school. You can also visit the Support KCD section of our Web site to make a secure online gift via credit card.
Every dollar that is donated to the KCD Fund is used to enrich students’ academic experience, support our outstanding faculty, and create a safe school environment in which students are inspired to excel.
With your support of the KCD Fund, Kentucky Country Day will continue to provide an exceptional, well-rounded education to the students who will become tomorrow’s community leaders.
Dear Friends,
Most parents are surprised to find that tuition does not cover the cost of their child's education. Tuition and fees cover approximately 90% of the cost of the education, as is the case with many other independent schools. Our development efforts are designed, in part, to solicit charitable gifts to bridge the gap between tuition income and the actual cost of operating the School. Gifts to the KCD Fund (formally the Annual Enrichment Fund) are used to pay the annual operating expenses of our school. Teacher recruitment and training, curriculum and program enhancements, technology upgrades, and maintenance of existing facilities are examples of ways in which these gifts are used.
The official beginning of the KCD Fund drive begins
in October. We call on parents, alumni, faculty, staff and friends to make
a gift to the
KCD
Fund.
Every gift is important, no matter what size. Your donation, together with
those of others, is vital to the continued strength of the school and in
providing an education of value to the students.
Gifts to the Fund may be made on-line using your credit card or you may
wish to view the Ways to Give section to learn more about making gifts
in other
ways.
