KCD's Robertson Library is located in the center
of the JK8 building.
The library is divided into two main areas: the middle school/upper
school side and the lower school side. Each section contains circulation
desks and catalog computers. The librarians office is between
the two sides. Hours
MondayFriday, 7:30 a.m.4:00
p.m.
Circulation
The standard checkout period for students is ten school days. Weekends,
holidays, etc., do not count. Faculty and staff may check out materials
for a month. Materials may be renewed. Parents are always welcome to use
the library and to check out materials. All materials are due in prior
to the end of the academic year.
Students may check out books during class visits
or when they come in on their own. Lower school students may come in to
return or check out books during Morning Room from 7:308:00 a.m.,
but to stay or visit after 3:05 p.m., they must be accompanied by a parent.
Library Staff
Paul
Amick is the head librarian, and Beth
Conroy is
the lower school librarian. Paul received a B.A. in history/political
science from Bellarmine University, an M.A.
in education from Spalding
University, and his M.L.S. from the University of Kentucky. Beth received
a B.A. from Gettysburg College and an M.A. in Media Librarianship
from Spalding University. You can email the librarians using the

Internet Access
The computers in both areas
of the library can access the Internet through KCD's network. Students
are encouraged
to begin their online research using the school's
online catalog, Kentucky
Virtual Library, the databases available
through the Louisville Free Public Library, or a Web site link from this site.
