Update from the KCD Head of School Search Committee Co-Chairs

Dear Bearcat Community,

We hope everyone has had a safe and enjoyable summer break! As we approach the start of the school year, the Search Committee wanted to update the community on our progress in the search for our long-term Head of School.

Our consultants from The Education Group (TEG) have worked through the late spring and summer, and have provided us with a large slate of qualified candidates. TEG has vetted these candidates, interviewing them and checking their references.

The Search Committee will next decide on a group of semi-finalists whom we will interview via Zoom. Following those interviews, we will select finalists who will be invited to visit KCD’s campus. At that time, parents, faculty, administrators, and others will have the opportunity to meet the finalists, hear their stories and thoughts about KCD, and ask them questions. Following those meetings, each person who meets the finalists will have an opportunity to complete a survey providing the Search Committee with their impressions.

We plan to share additional information about the finalists’ visits toward the end of August or in early September.

Looking forward to seeing everyone back on campus in just a few short weeks!
