Our visual arts program begins in the Lower School by providing the foundation for a real understanding and enjoyment of art through the development of basic skills and the exploration of diverse media.
The middle school curriculum refines students’ skill in drawing, painting, printing, ceramics, collage, and hand building. Electives include classes such as Screamers (papier-mâché sculpture), Media Arts (stop-motion animation and videography), and Textile Art.
The upper school curriculum offers courses in drawing, painting, ceramics, photography, and graphic design. Upper School courses combine the study of technique with a focus on art history, criticism, and related cultural issues.
