Open House

Explore KCD's Middle & Upper Schools

On Thursday, November 14, 2024 we held our annual Open House. This evening admissions event was designed to give families an opportunity to learn about KCD's Middle and Upper Schools. 
 


UPPER SCHOOL (9-12):

Bearcat Chats

These events are open to 7th/8th grade parents and guardians, both current and prospective. Parents and guardians will meet in the Theater Lobby, where they will hear from Kent Martin, Upper School Director, who will give an overview of the school community and academic offerings. Light refreshments will be provided and the event will end with group tours hosted by current students. All families will need to register for these events.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (5-8):

Bearcat Chats

Middle School Bearcat Chats are designed for parents of 4th, 5th, 6th, & 7th graders.  At a Bearcat Chat, you will have the opportunity to hear from our Interim Head of School, Jon Kellam and Middle School Director, Jerry Loewen and then take a guided tour through our beautiful campus. 
 
Bearcat Chats take place from 9-10:30 am and begin in the Jason Bell Community Center.

LOWER SCHOOL (JK-4):

Bearcat Chats

This event is open to parents and guardians of Lower School aged children, Junior Kindergarten through 4th grade. Guests will meet with Mary Charles Collett, Lower School Director, to learn more about KCD's philosophy of early childhood education. Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions and take a small group tour of the campus. Light refreshments will be provided.
