Middle School MATHCOUNTS team places 3rd in state competition
The Middle School MATHCOUNTS team placed 3rd at the state competition at the University of Louisville on Saturday, March 2. There were 25 teams from 13 chapters across the state. KCD was one of two schools from the Louisville chapter that earned a spot at the competition.
Santi Galvis-Castro ’29 placed 13th as an individual in the state. There were 133 mathletes at the competition! The team included 8th graders Marcus Southworth ’28, Patrick Southworth ’28, Steven Wang ’28 and 7th grader Santi Galvis-Castro ’29.
