Kammeon Holsey named Boys Basketball Head Coach
KCD is thrilled to announce Kammeon Holsey as KCD's next Boys Basketball Head Coach! Coach Holsey is from Sparta, Georgia. In high school, he helped his team win the first basketball State Championship as a junior in 2008, with a Record of 30-2. Holsey received Class A Player of the Year his junior and senior season.
He was ranked top 10 in the state of Georgia for the class of 2009. Nationally he was ranked 16th in his position and 48th overall.
Holsey attended Georgia Tech on a full athletic scholarship and was the ACC top 6 man his last two years. After college he played 8 years of professional basketball, three years in the NBA G League, as well as, earning a roster spot for the Detroit Pistons NBA summer league twice.
He also played five years overseas in Europe. More recently, Holsey was the Boys Basketball Head Coach at M.H.G. Preparatory Academy in Louisville, also serving as the Athletic Director. Coach Holsey is a family man and enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife and three kids.
