5th Grade Humanities Teacher

Kentucky Country Day School (KCD) has an opening for a 5th grade Humanities teacher to join its Middle School team for the 2025-2026 school year. We seek an individual who embraces middle school education and has experience teaching in an interactive and engaging manner. The position requires energy, optimism, and a passion for teaching middle school students. Experience with the effective use of educational technology is desired. This teacher will also serve as a student grade level advisor and will be a vital member of the middle school team. Experience teaching social studies and/or language arts is preferable.  
 
The priorities for the middle school include forging positive relationships with students and colleagues; crafting an optimistic and positive school culture; practicing shared learning and shared growth; and strengthening our team and capitalizing on teamwork. Experience teaching in long blocks, and crafting student-centered lessons that promote deep understanding are vital to this position.
