Pickleball (Grades 5th-8th)
Do you love pickleball? Whether you are an experienced player or new to the sport, this is the camp for you! During the week, campers will learn all about the game, including rules, scoring, form and technique, etc. Both singles and doubles games will be played, including mini tournaments to win fun prizes. Other activities include pickleball-related games and opportunities to cool off in the heat with water games and popsicles. Pickleball paddles are provided. Please bring a water bottle and snack and dress in athletic clothing.

Splash & Play: JK & K Social Skills Adventure! (Grades JK-K)
Ready for a splashin' good time while making new friends and practicing important social skills? Join Kindergarten teachers Adam Wilkinson and Susan Falconburg for Splash & Play, a fun and interactive camp designed just for JK and K students! This camp will focus on building social skills like sharing, taking turns, and crossing the midline, all while having a blast with water activities, games, and playful movement each day. Kids will get to explore, laugh, and learn in a safe, supportive environment, where they'll develop confidence and friendships that last.
From water play to obstacle courses, circle games to creative play, every day will be packed with fun, learning, and lots of giggles. Whether it's splashing in the water or working together in group activities, your child will grow socially and emotionally while having a fantastic time! So, come ready to get wet, make new friends, and develop important skills for the school year ahead!

KCD Gardening Class (Grades 4th-9th)
Join Mr. Pollitt for a crash course in gardening! You will be helping to plant and organize our KCD Community Garden for the fall of 2025 and learning about good gardening and composting practices and techniques. We will be working the soil, preparing the space, and planting tomatoes, peppers, sunflowers, pumpkins, and other plants. When you come back in the fall, you will see and enjoy the fruits of your labor!

Tie Dye Mania (Grades 1st-8th)
Spiral, Crumple, Bullseye, and Boxfolds are just a few of the techniques we will experiment with to create campers' projects. Campers will also try ice dyeing and bleach dyeing to round out their creativity. Fee includes snack, dyes, and various items to add color to. Please bring a water bottle; snack will be provided.

Day Trippers: Session I (Grades 3rd-8th)
Tired of the same ole, same ole? Wanna get out and do something really fun this summer? If so, join KCD’s Day Trippers Camp. In this camp, each day you will go somewhere super awesome and amazing! Session I this year is an all day camp Monday-Wednesday only due to the Juneteenth Holiday on Thursday. Admission fees, lunch and snacks are provided in the camp fee. Trips planned for Session I include, Sky Zone, a trip to the movies, Malibu Jacks, and a Louisville Bats game. On Tuesday, we will take our "big" trip to Holiday World in Indiana. If you are active, like to have fun and enjoy getting out of the house...this is the camp for you. Questions about the camp can be directed to jason.floyd@kcd.org. NOTE: This class has a minimum enrollment of 15 and has a maximum of 40 due to bussing requirements. Trips are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.

Color Infusion! (Grades K-4th)
Let’s infuse some color into your summer! Embark on an enchanting journey at Color Infusion Camp, a three-day experience tailored for children in grades K-4. In this imaginative setting, campers will step into a kaleidoscopic world where every hue and shade springs to life in delightful ways. Children will explore the beauty and wonder of color through various activities, including tie-dye, slime-making, lava lamp creation, painting, rainbow relays, color scavenger hunts, fizzing colors, and more! Color Infusion Camp will be a fun-filled adventure for the senses as young imaginations explore the beauty of color through science and art.
