Upper School students compete at DECA state conference
Congratulations to the Upper School students in KCD’s DECA chapter who competed at the State Career Development Conference last week! Thirteen Bearcats competed at the conference, and more than half of them qualified to compete at the international level later this spring.
William Bache ’25 and Mihir Chawla ’26 took 1st place in the Financial Literacy Project Management event
Shaan Bains ’25 and Yunis Kutmah ’25 placed 2nd in the Franchise Business Plan event
Abdul Draw ’26 placed 2nd in the Retail Merchandising event
Peter Zhang ’26 and Evan Smith ’26 placed 3rd in the Hospitality Services Team Decision Making event
James Hu ’28 and Kevin Zhao ’28 placed 4th in the Business Operations Research event
Visha Patel ’27 and Sharanya Singh ’27 placed 4th—and aced their written presentation (95%)—in the Integrated Marketing Campaign event
Daniyal Khan ’26 placed 6th in the Business Finance Series event
DECA is an organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management in high schools and colleges around the globe. We look forward to cheering on our Bearcats at the DECA International Career Development Conference which will take place in Orlando, FL in late April.
