US Physics Teacher

Kentucky Country Day School is seeking a physics teacher in its upper school for the 2025–26 school year.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach 5 sections of classes. These will be advanced and AP Physics C classes. Most likely will be required to teach two math classes as well.
  • Work with a diverse student body. This work includes providing academic support for students as well as employing a variety of student-centered teaching styles to engage students and develop enduring skills: creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication.
  • Serve as an advisor to 10-12 students.
  • Active participation in the school community which includes activities and events such as student and faculty retreats, admissions open house, club advising, chaperoning dances, general engagement with student life, etc.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in science.
  • Minimum of three years of teaching physics in a high school setting.
