KCD students perform at KMEA All State
Congratulations to our KCD Rock Band members who performed at the Kentucky Music Educators Association All-State Modern Band Event on Friday, February 7, as part of the 2025 KMEA Annual Conference.
This yearly event includes student musicians from all over the state of Kentucky. This year, fifteen percent of those selected to be in the All-State Middle School Honors Rock Band were KCD Middle School students, making KCD the most represented school at this prestigious event!
Middle School Rock Band: Neel Dutta (voice), Brayden Gootee (voice), and Sebastian Martinez (violin/fiddle)

After rehearsing with their bands for two full days, students performed in the Cochrane Ballroom at the Galt House in downtown Louisville for a packed venue.
