KCD hosts masterclass in collaboration with Opera for the Young
On the afternoon of Wednesday, March 26, Kentucky Country Day School welcomed a unique masterclass experience for its middle and upper school singing-actors, in partnership with Opera for the Young.
This exceptional event provided students with the rare opportunity to work closely with the skilled resident artists from Opera for the Young, gaining valuable insights into the art of performance.
Each participating student, from grades 5 through 12, had the chance to perform a song of their choice in front of a panel of artists. The artists offered personalized, expert feedback in a supportive, interactive setting, focusing on both vocal technique and the art of bringing compelling, believable characters to life on stage.
